Paddling season is in full swing and Main Beach Surf and Sport is working hard to protect our local waters from pollution and nutrient overloading which can lead to dangerous algae blooms. Join with us as we go “Back to the Bays” with this years “Race for the Bays” at Havens Beach in Sag Harbor.
This year we will be pulling for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Marine Program. Check out several cool ways for you to “Pull for the Bay”.
May 6th – 7:30am, Havens Beach, Sag Harbor. Join us for a Main Beach Team Paddle with special Guests: Master Shaper: Joe Bark and Cornell’s Marine Habitat Guru, Kimberley Barbour. They will give us an overview of their program and then welcome paddlers to participate in helping seed the bay with scallops in support of establishment of a new scallop spawner sanctuary in Northwest Harbor.
